What a start to the season….who would have thought that fighting a virus would be this difficult! We certainly want to thank all our members for being patient as we get through the “worst” (we hope) of this COVID-19 corona virus! No touching the Flag Pole, sponge inserts in the cups, no Rakes, no Ball Washers, no Drinking Water, no divot mix, single riders on power carts, no members services like club cleaning / shoe cleaning, constant sanitization, follow the arrows, ……it seems like the list goes on and on!
But, as we drift into mid June, things are looking up! WE are hoping that by June 21st, we will have more of the restrictions lifted so we can continue to get closer and closer to normal? What ever normal might look like?
Unfortunately, we have not had the opportunity to have some of our “premier events” to kick off the season. Our annual “Wine & Cheese”, which normally gets the juices flowing …..our Men’s and Ladies Opening day, which normally put’s a big dent in everyone’s F&B “minimum spending”! (On that note, there will be no F&B “minimum spending” this season due to our restaurant being reduced to minimum capacity’s for the time being!) Our annual Lassie Ladies Open has been cancelled for the 2020 season along with the Annual Larters Pro Am.
But alas, I feel we are apart of the lucky ones…..still being able to enjoy this great game, still being able to enjoy our friendships and all while enjoying the great outdoors!
We certainly feel endebted to our “front line” workers and our essential workers….for without them, we might just be doing something else right now…..SO THANK-YOU!!!!
